The Oregon Department of Transportation is sponsoring the fourth annual Small Business Management (SBM) Program for Contractors at Small Business Development Centers (SBDCs) in Oregon. Lane Community College SBDC is offering the program this year.

See the attached schedule for the program which starts 6-9 pm, Monday, February 27 and continues through Tuesday, May 28, 2012 (a total of 9 class sessions). Each 3-hour class will be devoted to small business management topics, understanding ODOT-specific issues, and peer group discussion. In addition, businesses will be eligible to receive one-on-one confidential business advising from an experienced advisor at the SBDC at no additional cost.

2012 Angel Investing Workshops - Eugene Chamber of Commerce

You are invited to join us for the 2012 Angel Investing Workshops.  These workshops will provide you the opportunity to connect with experts in the field, explore key issues in Angel Investing and network with other accredited investors.  

The workshops are FREE and open to anyone interested in learning more about becoming an angel investor, so please register yourself and any guests by clicking on the links below. Food and beverages are included.

Our first sessions are on January 11th in Eugene and January 17th in Corvallis. These sessions will feature Willamette University researchers Rob Wiltbank and Wade Brooks.  Willamette University has compiled one of the largest databases on Angel Investments in the world, so this will be a very informative conversation and will provide you with current, in-depth information about trends in the field. Tim Berry, founder of Palo Alto Software and seasoned angel investor, will present a ‘how-to’ guide for angel investors.

Following these information sessions, we will host two hands-on workshops, focusing on deal structure and due diligence.  Do not miss the opportunity to learn more about the important issues.
